Pratap Chherti
My name is Pratap Chherti, and I'm 24 years old. I come from Lamjung, a beautiful district in Nepal. My childhood was marked by hardships as my father passed away, and my mother went missing. These circumstances left me without a stable family and financial support. However, the path of my life changed when I found refuge and support at the Ashna Orphanage.
At the age of 9, I joined the Ashna Child Rehabilitation Home, where I encountered other children who were also facing similar challenges. We formed a tight-knit community, supported by the caring presence of two loving "mothers" who treated us as their own children. Lila sir, our mentor, guided us with essential values that shaped our characters and gave us hope for a better future.
The Ashna home provided me with a nurturing environment and the resources I needed to pursue my education. I worked hard and successfully completed my higher secondary level schooling, which was a significant accomplishment for me. It brings me immense joy to witness the successes of many other children who grew up with me at Ashna and are now thriving in their own lives.
